Standard Fields
Equip ships with a set of standard fields, grouped in the builder into basic, professional, and additional sections. Toggle each field on or off, and mark any enabled field as mandatory.Some fields power other Equip features. The Job Fit Score ranking criteria depend on what you collect: Skills requires the Skills field, Experience and Previous Companies require Work Experience, Education requires Educational Background, and Industry requires Industries.
Custom Fields
When the standard fields do not cover something you need, add custom fields. Each job opening supports up to 10 custom fields.1
Add a custom field
In the Application Form step, create a new custom field and give it a label of at least 3 characters, for example “Do you hold a valid driving license?”.

Pick the answer type
Choose Boolean (yes/no), Integer (a number), or Date.

Configure the details
Optionally add a placeholder to guide candidates, and toggle whether the field is mandatory.
Screening Questions
Screening questions are questions candidates answer as part of the application. Each job opening supports up to 5 screening questions. Screening questions accept four answer types:
Objective answer types (Boolean, Integer, Date) become dashboard filters, so you can instantly narrow the pipeline to candidates who meet a requirement. Text answers appear on the candidate profile for you to read.
