Every test in an assessment gets its own Individual Score. Equip then combines them into one Overall Score using the weightage you assign to each test in the Test Order tab. Weightages always add up to 100.
An assessment on Equip can combine multiple tests. For example, a Software Developer assessment might contain a Quiz and a Programming Challenge, and the candidate attempts them one after another from a single link.

Per-Test Scores

Individual Test Scores appear in the assessment’s results on the Recruiter Dashboard. Click any test score to open the candidate’s report for that test.

Each test has its own score, and Overall Score combines them

A test is auto-graded, AI-graded, manually graded, or not scored, depending on its type. Grading Tests lists which is which. If a test contains questions that need your attention, it is labelled ungraded, and the Overall Score stays ungraded until every test is graded. Use the Show Ungraded filter on the results dashboard to find affected submissions.
You can edit an awarded score at any time using the pencil icon on a response. The test score and Overall Score recompute automatically.

Weightage and the Overall Score

Weightage tells Equip how important each test is. All tests get equal weightage by default, and the sum of all weightages is always 100. If Programming matters twice as much as the Quiz, give it 67 and the Quiz 33. To calculate the Overall Score, Equip multiplies each test’s percentage score by its weightage and adds up the contributions: To set or change weightage:

You can change weightage at any time. Equip recalculates the Overall Scores of previous submissions, so past and future candidates stay comparable.
A test with weightage 0 contributes nothing to the Overall Score. Equip warns you in the builder if any weighted test is set to 0. Separately, Psychometric and Typing Test are always weightless and are excluded from the Overall Score by design.

Cutoff Scores

Equip does not define a universal passing score; what counts as good depends on your role and hiring bar. The results dashboard gives you score and cutoff filters so you can view only the candidates above your threshold. You can mark candidates Shortlisted, Rejected, or Hired individually or in bulk. Grade any ungraded questions before comparing Overall Scores or applying a cutoff. Otherwise you may shortlist against incomplete scores.
