Most roles need more than one skill, and a single Equip assessment can cover them all. You can add any number of tests to an assessment, and a single quiz can draw questions from several skills at once. This article covers both approaches and how to weight each test in the overall score.

Adding Multiple Tests

An assessment is a container for tests: candidates attempt each test one by one, and each test is completed in a single sitting. You can freely mix test types (Quiz, Programming, English Communication, and more) and mix Equip Content with your own Custom Tests.

Open the Tests tab

On the Create Assessment page (or Assessment Settings for an existing assessment), go to the Tests tab.

Pick a test type

Select the test type you want from the list, such as Quiz, Programming, or Psychometric.

Add the test

For quizzes, click the Add Quiz button at the bottom right of the quiz card. Then choose Equip’s Content, My Content (an existing custom test), or Create New.

Configure it

For Equip’s Content, click Add Skill, then set the Difficulty Level and Number of Questions for each skill. For My Content, select the test you want from your saved tests.
Two custom quizzes cannot be merged into one. If you have built them separately, add them to the assessment as two separate tests.

Skills Covered by a Single Quiz

If you are using Equip’s quiz content, you do not need a separate quiz per skill. Click the Add Skill button at the bottom right of the quiz card to add up to 6 skills to the same quiz. Questions from different question banks are jumbled together and shown to the candidate as one quiz, so a C++ question might be followed by an English Grammar question. We strongly recommend the first approach. Candidates attempt one quiz instead of starting several, you see a single quiz score that makes comparing and shortlisting simpler, and you spend fewer credits because every test in an assessment costs 1 credit per candidate.
Even in a combined quiz, candidate results include skill-wise and difficulty-wise breakdowns, so you do not lose visibility into individual skills.
An Equip Content quiz is capped at 25 questions in total across all its skills. If you need more questions, or more than 6 skills, add a second quiz to the same assessment.

Setting Weightage

When an assessment has multiple tests, each test’s weightage decides how much it contributes to the candidate’s Overall Score. Weightages must add up to 100, and Equip assigns equal weightage by default.

Open the Test Order tab

In Assessment Settings, go to the Test Order tab. You can also drag tests here to change the order candidates attempt them in.

Set each test's weightage

Enter a weightage for every test. The builder checks that the values sum to 100 before you can save.
The Overall Score is the sum of each test’s percentage multiplied by its weightage. For example, scoring 80% on a test weighted 70 and 50% on a test weighted 30 gives an Overall Score of 71%.
If any test’s weightage is 0, it will not contribute to the Overall Score at all, and Equip warns you about this while saving. Psychometric and Typing Tests are always weightless by design and are excluded from the Overall Score.
Changing weightages later recalculates the Overall Scores of candidates who have already submitted, so you can adjust priorities even after results come in.
