Write Results to Google Sheets

On Equip, you can automatically capture the results of an assessment in a Google Sheet. If you need the results of your assessment in a spreadsheet, this feature is useful to check the results real-time using a Google Sheet. If you were to Export to Excel feature, you will either have to wait to export the results until all candidates finish taking the assessment or you end up with multiple sheets as more candidates take the assessment. With Write results to Google Sheets, it is easy to check the results of your assessment real time as a candidate's result is written to the Google Sheet as they soon as they complete each test in an assessment.

How it works

Go to assessment Settings. You will find Write results to Google Sheets option under Miscellaneous settings.
Create a new Google Spreadsheet and grant Editor permission to hello@equip.co.
Paste the Google Spreadsheet URL in your assessment settings.
Click Create/Update to save your settings.
Once candidates start attempting the assessment with Write to Google Sheets enabled, Equip automatically creates sheets within the Google Spreadsheet to capture each tests' results and the overall assessment results.

Things you need to know

If candidates have already taken the assessment, their results won't show up on the Sheet. Only results of candidates who attempt

Q: Adding Members to your Team

On Equip, the user who creates the Team is considered the Team Admin. Once a Team is created, other members can be added to the Team. The maximum number of members depends on your <a href="https://equip.co/pricing">subscription plan</a>. During your Free Trial, you are subscribed to the Standard Plan which allows a maximum of 3 members. The Equip integration will allow your team to automatically invite candidates to take Equip assessments from Lever. The results then get updated on the candidate’s Lever profile.

Setup the integration:

|| Access role must be Super Admin in Lever to set up the integration. This integration is only available to Equip customers on the Premium Plan.

Enable the Integration

1. On the Equip Recruiter dashboard, navigate to the Integrations page by clicking on the Integrations link in the sidebar.

2. Click on the Configure button, within the Lever card.

3. Review the requested permissions. Click the Accept.

What is a Custom Test?

A custom test is a test you create with your own content. We have different types of tests (quizzes, programming challenges, etc) and you can create any of these tests with your own questions.

Once you create the test, you can link it to any Equip assessment (even across assessments). The video below shows you how to create a Custom Quiz and link it to an Assessment.

Assessments and Tests

The simplest way to get started on Equip as a recruiter is to create an assessment and preview it. An assessment is a set of tests that a candidate must take one after another. So, before creating an assessment, you will need to have tests to add to the assessment. Equip has standardized tests, with questions from its own database, that you can add to an assessment. But, to get better acquainted with the platform, we suggest you create a test of your own.

Creating a Custom Test

Tests that you create on your own are called Custom Tests. Let's create a simple MCQ quiz with a single question. For this, you will click on Custom Tests on the left sidebar and then click on New Under Quizzes. You can then add a question with options. The video below shows how you can add a single question to the quiz.

Creating an Assessment

The link to an assessment is what you will share with a candidate. As we have created a test, we can create an assessment and add it to the assessment. The video below is fairly self-explanatory.

Previewing an Assessment

You can preview an assessment after creating it. If you are using Equip's content for a Quiz, you cannot preview the actual questions that the candidate may see, because the questions come from a database that we obviously want to protect. For such tests, the Preview shows Sample Content

Adding Members to your Team

Unique URL for every Candidate

After you create an assessment, you can either share the same link for all the candidates. or create a **unique link **for each candidate.

A one-time URL can be used only once. If a user clicks on it and logs in to Equip, only the same account can access that URL. If a user with a different account tries to access the same URL, Equip will say that the link has expired. Due to this, candidates cannot share URLs with one another, reducing the chances of cheating. Moreover, as a recruiter, you can safeguard the credits in your account as only candidates you share the URL with can attempt the assessment.

How to generate One-time URLs?

Go to the Candidate Login section in the assessment Settings
Select No for 'Use the same URL for all candidates?
Click the link to generate one-time URLs in a new tab.

Enter the number of URLs and click Generate. You can generate up to 300 URLs using this method.
Copy the URLs into a CSV file and send one unique link per candidate.
Developers can use an API to generate URLs. You can make a GET request to the API endpoint, as shown in the screenshot below, to get the One-time URLs in response. Replace num_urls_needed with the appropriate value.
