Camera and mic tracking can be turned off on any test, whether it uses Equip’s content or your own, and on AI interviews. The ATS has no camera or mic proctoring.
Open the assessment’s settings and select the Test Order tab.

Turn off the camera and mic toggles
Switch off Detect Audio, Detect Face, Take Random Photos, and Capture Photo Before Start Test. Click Save Settings, then Update.
These settings apply per test, not per assessment. If your assessment has multiple tests, repeat the steps for each test where you want camera and mic tracking off.
Open the interview’s settings from AI Interviews. The same proctoring toggles sit in a collapsible Proctoring Settings section, closed by default.

Detect Audio is locked off when the template has audio or video questions. Video-answer questions still need the camera.

Detect Audio is always off, because the interview is spoken. Turn off Require camera under 4 · Settings (on by default) to make the interview audio-only.
With Require camera off, candidates are still asked for camera access while Detect Face, Take Random Photos or Capture Photo Before Start Test is on. Turn those off too to skip the camera entirely.
The Proctoring tab of the candidate report will not contain face-detection photos, random photos, a pre-test photo, or audio recordings for that test, because that evidence is never captured.A conversational interview with Require camera off is audio-only and records no video.
The report still shows a Trust Score for the attempt. With fewer signals being tracked, review the score together with the remaining evidence rather than in isolation.
