If you have a folder of CVs from a job board, an agency, or an old ATS, you do not need to add candidates one by one. Bulk CV Import lets you upload up to 100 CVs in a single batch. Equip parses each file with AI and creates a job application automatically.

Uploading CVs

Each batch is uploaded into a specific job opening, so every parsed CV becomes an application in that job’s candidate pipeline.
1

Open the job opening

Go to the job opening you want to add candidates to. All applications created by the import will appear in this job’s pipeline.
2

Select your PDF files

Use the uploader labeled Select PDF files to upload. It accepts PDF files only, up to 100 files per batch, with a maximum size of 10 MB per file.
3

Start the import

Confirm the upload. Equip checks your team’s credit balance before starting, then processes the batch in the background. You can leave the page while it runs.
Files that do not meet the requirements are flagged before the batch starts:
Have more than 100 CVs? Split them into multiple batches of up to 100 files each and upload them one after another.

Parsing and Costs

Bulk CV Import costs 0.01 credits per CV, so a full batch of 100 CVs costs just 1 credit. The cost is checked against your team’s credit balance before the batch starts, and the ATS itself remains free. Each CV goes through the same AI parsing as a direct application: Equip extracts the candidate’s name, contact details, work experience, education, and skills, then creates the application. See CV Parsing for the full list of extracted fields.

Tracking your batch

A batch moves through four statuses: The batch detail page shows total, processed, success, failed, and skipped counts, plus a per-file list grouped into success, failed, skipped, and processing. Every failed file shows a reason.
Common failure reasons are a missing email, a missing name, a duplicate application for the same job, or a CV the parser could not read. Fix the file or resolve the duplicate, then re-upload just the affected CVs in a new batch.

Unverified Candidates

Candidates added through Bulk CV Import never confirmed their email address themselves, so Equip marks them as unverified. On the candidate profile, an amber icon next to the email opens a popover that reads “Email not verified”. Unverified candidates receive no stage-change emails. You can move them through the pipeline freely, but invitation and rejection emails are held back until the email is verified. This protects you from emailing addresses that were parsed incorrectly.
If you invite an unverified candidate to an assessment or AI interview stage, the invite dialog shows a warning and no email goes out. Verify the candidate’s email first if you want them to receive the invitation.
To verify a candidate, open their profile and copy the verification link from the email popover, then share it with the candidate directly. Once they verify, stage-change emails work as usual.
Each imported application also records its source as “Bulk CV Upload”. The ATS Insights dashboard reports applications by source, so you can compare imported candidates against direct applicants.
