Recover credits when invited candidates never start their test or interview.
Equip deducts credits the moment you send an assessment or AI interview invitation, even if the email bounces or is never opened. If the candidate never starts, those credits are not lost: you can reclaim them after 24 hours.
An invitation credit becomes reclaimable only when both conditions below are true:
Condition
Details
Candidate has not started
For an assessment, the candidate has not begun the first test; a test counts as started once its questions load. For an AI interview, the candidate has not started the interview.
24 hours have passed
The invitation was sent more than 24 hours ago.
Each reclaim returns the credits deducted when that invitation was sent:
Invitation
Credits reclaimed
Assessment
1 credit (the first test)
One-way AI interview
The interview’s full cost: 1 credit per 20 questions, rounded up, minimum 1
Conversational AI interview
2 credits (Quick Interview) or 3 credits (Comprehensive Interview)
If a candidate started the first test but abandoned it midway, the credit is not reclaimable. See Credit Deduction Policy for the full breakdown.
Go to Account > Reclaim Credits. Click Reclaim Credit on a row, or tick several rows to reclaim them together. Assessment and AI interview invitations share one table.
The Reclaim Credits page lists every invitation that is eligible, with a Reclaim link on each row

Confirm the reclaim
Click Yes, reclaim in the confirmation dialog.
Confirm Reclaim warns that the candidate's invitation link will stop working
Your balance increases immediately, and the reclaim appears in your Credit Usage ledger.
Reclaiming a credit revokes the candidate’s invitation link, so the candidate can no longer use it to attempt the test or interview.
This cannot be undone. If you want the candidate to attempt later, you must send a fresh invitation, which deducts credits again; they cannot reuse the same link.
If a candidate simply needs more time, leave the invitation active; the credits stay reclaimable for as long as they have not started.
