# Signing Your Offer

> Review, sign, download, or decline an offer you received through Equip.

When a company sends you an offer through Equip, you receive an email with a **Review & sign** button. It opens a single page where you can read every document, sign them all in one session, and download copies.

<Note>
  You do not need an account or a password. The link in your offer email opens your documents directly, so keep the email and do not forward it.
</Note>

## Review and Sign

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the link">
    Click **Review & sign** in the offer email. The page shows the job title, who sent the offer, and the date it expires.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Read every document">
    If the offer has more than one document, they are listed at the top. Documents marked "to read, no signature needed" are included for your reference only.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign">
    Complete the signature fields in the signing session. You sign once for the whole offer, and some documents may ask you to type in details such as a joining date.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Keep your copies">
    Once you finish, the page confirms that you are done and shows a **Download** link for each document.
  </Step>
</Steps>

What happens after you sign depends on whether the company signs too:

| Who signs | What happens next |
| - | - |
| **Only you** | The offer is complete as soon as you sign |
| **You, then the company** | The company counter-signs after you, which completes the offer |
| **The company, then you** | The company has already signed, so your signature completes the offer |

When the offer is complete, you receive an email with a link to each signed copy. Keep that email; the links do not expire.

<Tip>
  You can download the documents before you sign, using the **Download** button at the top of the page. Take the time to read them properly first.
</Tip>

## Declining an Offer

If you do not want to accept, click **Decline** at the top of the page. You are asked why, and can add an optional note of up to 500 characters.

* I accepted another offer
* The compensation isn't right for me
* The role or scope isn't the right fit
* Personal reasons
* Something else

<Warning>
  Declining cannot be undone. The documents can no longer be signed afterwards, and your recruiter is told the reason you chose. If you change your mind, ask the recruiter to send a new offer.
</Warning>

## If the Link Does Not Work

The page tells you what state your offer is in:

| What you see | What it means |
| - | - |
| **This link no longer works** | The offer has expired, or a newer link was sent. Check your email for the most recent one, or ask your recruiter to resend it. |
| **This offer was withdrawn** | The company cancelled the offer or replaced it with a new one. Contact your recruiter. |
| **This offer was declined** | You declined it, so it can no longer be signed |
| **All signed** | Everything is signed. Your copies are still available to download. |
| **Getting your documents ready** | The page is still loading your documents and retries on its own. If it stays stuck, click **Try again**. |

An offer expires on the date shown in the email and on the signing page. After that date an unsigned offer can no longer be signed, but signed copies stay available to download.
