# Interview Panels and Locations

> Create reusable interview panels, include people outside your team, and save interview locations.

An **interview panel** is a named, reusable group of people who interview and score candidates together. Pick a panel when you schedule a live interview, and every member gets the candidate's CV and a link to the interview.

## Create a Panel

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Interviews tab">
    Go to [**Account → Team**](https://equip.co/recruiter/account/team/) and open the [**Interviews** tab](https://equip.co/recruiter/account/team/interviews/).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add a panel">
    Under **Interview panels**, click **Add panel**, enter a name (up to 100 characters), and click **Create**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add people by email">
    Type each person's email address and press Enter, then click **Add**. You can add up to 50 people at a time.
  </Step>
</Steps>

To use the panel, pick it in the **Panel** dropdown on a Live Interview stage card, or choose it when you schedule an interview. See [Scheduling Live Interviews](/scheduling-live-interviews).

## Who Can Be on a Panel

Panel members can be anyone with an email address. They do not need to be on your Equip team.

| | Teammates | People outside your team |
| - | - | - |
| **How they appear** | By name | Marked **outside team** |
| **How they open an interview** | From the Live Interviews page or the panel brief email | From the link in the panel brief email, signing in with their email address |
| **What they can see** | The candidate's CV, profile, prior results, and report links | The candidate's CV, profile, and prior results |
| **Effect on your team** | None | None. Being on a panel does not add them to your team or change their role. |

<Tip>
  Use panels to bring in a hiring manager or a client who does not have an Equip seat. They get access only to the candidates they are asked to interview.
</Tip>

## How Panels Behave

A panel is a live group. Every interview that uses it follows the panel's current membership.

| Change you make | Effect on open interviews |
| - | - |
| **Add a member** | They gain access and are expected to submit feedback |
| **Remove a member** | They lose access. Feedback they already submitted is kept. |
| **Rename the panel** | The new name shows on past and future interviews |
| **Delete the panel** | Members lose access to every candidate shared through it |

<Warning>
  A panel with upcoming interviews cannot be deleted. Move those interviews to another panel, or cancel them, first.
</Warning>

## Interview Locations

**Interview locations** are saved addresses offered when you schedule an in-person interview. Add them on the same [**Interviews** tab](https://equip.co/recruiter/account/team/interviews/), under **Interview locations**, with **Add location**.

| Field | Details |
| - | - |
| **Name** | Required, up to 100 characters, for example "Bengaluru office" |
| **Full address** | Required, up to 500 characters |
| **Maps link** | Optional |
| **Reception note** | Optional, up to 255 characters, for example who to ask for at the front desk |

Picking a saved location in the schedule dialog fills in the address and reception note. Deleting a location only removes it from the list; interviews already scheduled keep their address.
