# Contacting Equip Support

> All the ways to reach Equip: chat-first support, email, webinars, and phone eligibility.

Equip is a chat-first company. Both recruiters and candidates can reach the team over **live chat** or **email**, and there are weekly webinars if you prefer a live walkthrough. Here is how the channels compare:

| Channel | Who can use it | Typical response time |
| --------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------- |
| **Live chat** | Recruiters and candidates | Minutes |
| **Email** ([hello@equip.co](mailto:hello@equip.co)) | Recruiters and candidates | 24 hours                                            |
| **Webinars / office hours**                         | Anyone                    | Weekly sessions                                     |
| **Phone**                                           | Eligible customers only   | See [eligibility below](#phone-support-eligibility) |

## Live Chat

The fastest way to get help is the **live chat** widget inside the product. Chat responses are almost instantaneous, and support agents work across timezones, so requests are handled around the clock.

The chat system has **automatic translation** enabled, so you can write in your own language. Agents can also see which page you are on and what issue you are facing, which means suggestions are specific to your situation rather than generic troubleshooting.

</Frame>

<Tip>
  Chat beats phone in a few practical ways: someone is always available, the agent can see your screen context and share relevant links, and there is a written record of everything that was said.
</Tip>

## Email Support

If your question is not urgent, or you need to attach documents, email **[hello@equip.co](mailto:hello@equip.co)**. The turnaround time for email is **24 hours**.

Email is also the required channel for a few account-level requests, such as TDS payment arrangements and re-issuing finalized invoices.

<Note>
  Candidates can use email and chat too, not just recruiters. If you are a candidate facing an issue during a test, chat is usually the faster option.
</Note>

## Webinars and Office Hours

Prefer a live video session? Equip runs **weekly webinars and office hours**. Each session has two parts:

| Segment                 | Duration   |
| ----------------------- | ---------- |
| Product demo            | 30 minutes |
| Open Q\&A with the team | 30 minutes |

You can sign up for an upcoming session at [equip.co/schedule-demo](https://equip.co/schedule-demo/). This is the best option if you want to see the product end to end and ask questions in real time.

## Phone Support Eligibility

Equip does not offer telephone support by default. With customers across the world, it is impossible to staff phone lines in every language and timezone, and keeping support chat-first is part of what keeps credit prices low.

Phone support is available automatically if you have paid Equip more than **\$5,000** in the last 365 days, at no extra cost. If you qualify, just share your phone number on chat and someone from the team will call you.
